Application Forms & Instructions

We accept the Common Application, the Universal College Application, and the Candidate’s Choice Application.* We do not prefer any one application over another.

*If you’re applying to one of our Accelerated Programs in law or medicine, you can’t use the Candidate’s Choice Application.

If you complete the Common Application or Universal College Application, you must also complete and submit the associated Rensselaer Application Supplement.

Special Instructions for:

• Physician-Scientist Program (B.S./M.D.)
• Management-Law or Science, Technology and Society-Law Programs (B.S./J.D.)

Common Application
Go to www.commonapp.org to complete the application and the associated Rensselaer Application Supplement form.

Universal College Application
Go to www.universalcollegeapp.com to complete the application and the associated Rensselaer Application Supplement form.

Candidate’s Choice Application
Students may also apply via the Candidate’s Choice Application. This streamlined application is available to students who have expressed an interest in Rensselaer. Please note that students applying to an accelerated program (in law or medicine) can’t apply using the Candidate’s Choice Application.
