Rensselaer provides varied merit scholarships. If a student is eligible for multiple Rensselaer scholarships, we will provide the scholarship which awards the highest dollar value.
PLEASE NOTE: If a student earns multiple Rensselaer merit scholarships, the university will award the highest merit award for which the student is qualified, but it does not combine multiple awards. Total Rensselaer-provided scholarships and/or tuition benefits may not exceed tuition.
When you use your FAFSA form to apply for aid, you are automatically considered for federal aid, including grants, loans and College Work Study.

Financial aid recipients are required to report all financial aid awards (i.e. scholarships, grants, tuition remission) received from any organizations or agencies to the Office of Financial Aid. Because outside aid represents additional resources to meet your financial need, it may affect your existing need-based federal, state and/or institutional financial aid. If you are the recipient of any outside funding, please complete and return this form to the Office of Financial Aid.
