Academically talented, underrepresented minorities and young women are invited to apply for the STAR (Science, Technology, Arts at Rensselaer) Program at Rensselaer.

Experience life as a Rensselaer student—attend classes, tour campus, visit our laboratories and facilities, and connect with current Rensselaer students and faculty.
The STAR Program begins Thursday evening with a dinner reception and concludes Saturday at the close of the Fall Open House.
Students accepted to participate in the STAR Program will receive a confirmation email from Rensselaer.
Traveling To Rensselaer
Rensselaer will provide transportation for students from the New York metro area on a chartered bus that will depart from the New York Public Library steps at the corner of 5th Avenue and 41st Street on Thursday, October 27, 2016 promptly at 1 p.m.
If you are traveling to the Capital District and need transportation to the Rensselaer campus, we’ll be glad to pick you up at the train station, airport, or bus terminal. Please wait for a confirmation e-mail from Rensselaer before scheduling transportation to campus.
Limited travel assistance is available for students for whom the trip to Rensselaer would present a financial hardship. Requests for assistance must be on the STAR Program application.
